New In This Release
You’ll notice the logo at the top of the page has changed from our iconic Nrby flower. In an effort to keep up with the cool kids, we at Nrby (pronounced ‘nearby’) have rolled out a new logo, new website, new color scheme; a whole new look and feel. Enjoy!
We created a new type of Attribute called a Media attribute. Media Attributes behave just like other Attributes. They can be optional, Always required, or Required Before Complete. But the media attribute contains images or videos. So now, there is a different way to configure Nrby to capture that photo when the SmartPin is created. And now you can require your mobile teams to take a photo before they complete the SmartPin too. We’re excited to see how you use this new feature.
Just choose the new attribute type ‘Media’ from the Type dropdown and use it like you would use any other attribute. The media attributes will show up in the SmartPin attributes section, in the order specified in the SmartPin definition. A thumbnail is shown in-line with the other attributes. Clicking on the thumbnail will download and display the full resolution image. More images can be added by clicking the + sign on the right hand side of the attribute. Many pictures can be added to a single attribute; the media attribute area will grow and then scroll when necessary.
Media attributes do not show up in the Notes page nor do they show up as Attachments. They are Attributes, just like your other Attributes. They will show up in your reports and in your timeline view just like other similarly configured Attributes.
New Attachments Tab in SmartPin Details
We moved where the Attachments are in the SmartPin Details view. Attachments can be found on their own tab now. See the screenshot below.
Fixed In This Release
Deleting Attachments Through the Portal
When you view attachments through the portal, there is a trash can on the attachment that is supposed to let you delete the attachment from the SmartPin. That had been broken. We fixed it. Now the trash can will delete your attachment.
SmartPin by Age Report For Contractor SmartPins
We expanded the capability of the SmartPin by Age report to show the SmartPins for configured Contractors. Searching, filtering, exporting will now include contractor SmartPins if the report is being run from the parent company portal.
'200 OK’ Message upon Login
If your portal user account was configured with the Customer role (as opposed to the Customer Admin role’, recent changes we made may have resulted in seeing a red message upon login that said ‘200 OK’, pictured below. We fixed that. You will not see that any longer.
