New In This Release
The Nrby API has had the ability to upload CSV files of SmartPins for years now. But as we grow, we realize that many customers do not use the API, and having our Customer Service team import CSV files of SmartPins for customers does not scale. So we put the new page in the Nrby Portal to allow you to upload your own CSV files of SmartPins.
Choosing the new Bulk Uploads menu option brings you to this page:
- Choose the CSV file with your data
- Choose a delimiter for the data. We default the delimiter to the comma (the C in CSV)
- Check the checkbox if the first line of the file is header titles. Leave it blank if there are no headers and the first line is SmartPin data
- Enter the columns in your data
- (Attribute Name)
Make sure the order of the columns matches the order of the columns in the CSV file. The handles on the left hand side of the column text box allow you to drag the boxes into the correct order. When you are ready to import your data, your screen may look like this:
When the information is correct, just click the ‘Create SmartPins’ button.
If you make a mistake, the error is presented on the screen.
When your import has been successful, a green message will flash across the top of the screen telling you how many SmartPins have been created.
Fixed In This Release
TTL Deletes Now Create Attribute History Records
The TTL feature has been in place since early on in our product. When we recently added Attribute History records, we did not change the TTL behavior to create attribute history records when a SmartPin was deleted by the TTL Worker. We have fixed that. SmartPins deleted by the TTL Worker now create Attribute History Records as well.
Multi-line SmartPin Descriptions Look Correct on the Read Only Details Screen
If you had a SmartPin description with multiple lines, the read only details screen for the SmartPin was not preserving the newlines, so your carefully formatted description did not look like you wanted it to. We fixed that.
